I am author of the Spooky Twisties Series for Middle Grade/YA.
Each of the books consists of thirteen interconnected stories which follow a group of friends as they navigate their way through supernatural events in an idyllic community during the course of a ‘normal’ day. A mix of horror, humor, and ‘twisted endings’ make these readings fun and entertaining.
I've lived my entire life in the rolling hills and three rivers of western Pennsylvania and the majority of my working years were as a Systems Engineer for a large corporation. When my sons were born, I took a hiatus from work, and tutored math and reading while being a substitute teacher in local schools. I returned to the workforce and retired a few years ago.
I've always enjoyed reading scary stories, and maybe watched a few too many psychological thriller TV series with unexpected twists.
One of my first stories was about a group of kids that go out to play their annual game of ghosts in the graveyard. Thinking of that 'what if' scenario led to other tales which eventually became Spooky Twisties I and II. Originally, I killed off one of my main characters in Book 1 but decided to keep her (or him) for another story, and I'm glad I did. Currently, I'm working on Book 3 which continues more paranormal and fun happenings for the kids.
Besides writing, I enjoy watercolor painting, charcoal/pencil sketching, exercising, golf, and reading some of my favorite scary thrilling authors. And by the way, I still watch and enjoy those scary psychological thriller marathon weekends when broadcast certain times of the year.
